Types of materials
Hallingplast AS uses polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) in production of plastic pipes and fittings. Both these materials are characterized by high impact strength in cold conditions, high resistance to chemicals, great flexibility (PE) and high annular rigidity (PP). The internally smooth pipes give minimal frictional loss, and a predictable life-time for products, stated by the suppliers of the raw materials to be a minimum of 100 years, given correct installation and maintenance. In addition the materials are environmentally friendly. The material can be recycled and used in products such as pallets, noise deflection walls, etc.
